Peach Aviation was founded in 2011 as a joint venture led by All Nippon Airways and began flying in March 2012, becoming Japan's first homegrown low-cost carrier to take off. Now wholly part of the ANA group, it absorbed sister carrier Vanilla Air in 2019 to consolidate the group's budget flying under one fuchsia-colored brand.
The main base is Osaka Kansai, the artificial-island airport in Osaka Bay, with additional bases at Tokyo Narita, Nagoya and Naha. An all-Airbus A320-family fleet flies dense domestic routes and short international hops to Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Shanghai. Okinawa flying gives sim pilots long overwater sectors within a single country.
