About Loong Airlines
Loong Airlines, also known as Loong Air, was founded in 2011 in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, and began scheduled passenger operations in 2013. It has grown steadily from a regional start-up into a mid-sized carrier serving destinations across China and nearby international markets.
The name comes from the Chinese word for dragon, which features in the airline's branding and tail design. Loong Air operates an all-Airbus A320-family fleet, including A320neos and A321neos, from its Hangzhou Xiaoshan base, with a network centred on secondary Chinese cities plus regional routes to Southeast and Central Asia.
