About Jeju Air

Jeju Air was founded in 2005 as a joint venture between the Aekyung Group and the Jeju provincial government, becoming South Korea's first low-cost carrier when it began flying in 2006. It grew from island shuttle flying into the country's largest budget airline and listed on the Korean stock exchange in 2015.

Named for Jeju Island, the airline operates a fleet of Boeing 737-800s, with 737 MAX aircraft joining, from bases at Seoul Gimpo, Incheon and Jeju. The Seoul Gimpo to Jeju corridor it serves is consistently ranked among the busiest air routes in the world. International flying concentrates on Japan, Southeast Asia and China.
