About Oman Air
Oman Air was founded in 1993, growing out of Oman Aviation Services, and developed from a regional operator into the sultanate's flag carrier, adding long-haul flights from 2007. After years of rapid expansion followed by consolidation, the airline joined the oneworld alliance in June 2025.
From its Muscat hub Oman Air flies Boeing 787-9s alongside 737 MAX and NG narrowbodies to Europe, Asia, East Africa and cities across the Gulf and the subcontinent. Its livery features the khanjar, Oman's traditional dagger, and Salalah in the country's south provides a scenic secondary destination during the khareef monsoon season.
