About Syrian Air
Syrian Air, formally Syrian Arab Airlines, dates back to 1946 when Syrian Airways began domestic operations. The carrier was briefly merged into United Arab Airlines during the union between Syria and Egypt, re-emerging as an independent flag carrier in the early 1960s with Damascus as its home.
