About Scoot

Scoot was founded in 2011 as Singapore Airlines' low-cost medium and long-haul subsidiary, flying its first service to Sydney in 2012 with Boeing 777s. In 2017 it absorbed short-haul sister carrier Tigerair, combining both operations under the Scoot brand.

From its Singapore Changi hub Scoot operates Boeing 787 Dreamliners alongside Airbus A320 family jets and Embraer E190-E2s, an unusual mix for a low-cost carrier. Its network stretches from Athens and Berlin to small Southeast Asian points, and its aircraft carry individual names such as Barry and Bo-nita.
