About Transavia
Transavia was founded in the Netherlands in 1965 and began flying in 1966, initially as a charter carrier. It became part of KLM in the 1990s and now operates as the low-cost arm of Air France-KLM in the Dutch market, having gradually shifted from charters to scheduled leisure routes.
Transavia flies from Amsterdam Schiphol, Rotterdam and Eindhoven, with a Boeing 737-700 and 737-800 fleet that is progressively being replaced by Airbus A320neo family aircraft. Its green-and-white jets serve Mediterranean, Canary Island and winter sun destinations, offering classic European leisure network flying.
