About viva aerobus
Viva Aerobus was founded in 2006 in Monterrey, backed by Mexican bus group IAMSA and the founders of Ryanair's parent investment vehicle. Launched as an ultra-low-cost carrier aimed at bus travellers, it grew steadily and rebranded simply as Viva in the mid-2020s.
The airline operates one of the youngest all-Airbus A320 family fleets in North America, with a heavy emphasis on the A321neo. From bases at Monterrey, Cancun, Guadalajara and Mexico City it flies dense domestic trunk routes plus US leisure services, with quick turnarounds typical of the ultra-low-cost model.
