About Air Tahiti
Air Tahiti is French Polynesia's domestic airline, with roots reaching back to postwar island air services and the Reseau Aerien Interinsulaire founded in 1958. The company took its current form and name in 1987, becoming the essential air link across the territory's far-flung archipelagos.
Air Tahiti operates ATR 42 and ATR 72 turboprops from Papeete to roughly 45 islands across the Society, Tuamotu, Marquesas, Gambier and Austral groups. Its network includes some of the world's most scenic approaches, notably Bora Bora's lagoon-side runway on a motu, making it a favourite for turboprop sim flying.
