About Air France
Air France was formed in 1933 through the merger of five French carriers, inheriting routes across Europe, Africa and South America. It operated Concorde in supersonic service from 1976 to 2003, helped found SkyTeam in 2000, and merged with KLM in 2004 to create the Air France-KLM group, one of Europe's largest airline companies.
Paris Charles de Gaulle is the main hub, with Orly serving domestic and Caribbean routes, including the long overwater flights to Guadeloupe, Martinique and Réunion flown by widebodies. The fleet spans A220s, A320s, A350s, Boeing 777s and 787s, with the winged seahorse of predecessor Air Orient still carried on the fuselage.
