About Kenmore Air
Kenmore Air was founded in 1946 on the shore of Lake Washington in Kenmore, near Seattle, beginning with a single Aeronca floatplane and a seaplane repair business. It grew into one of the largest seaplane operators in the United States while remaining a family-run company at its original lakeside base.
The fleet is built around classic de Havilland Canada types: piston DHC-2 Beavers and turbine DHC-3 Otters on floats, plus wheeled Cessna Caravans. Scheduled flights link Seattle's Lake Union and Lake Washington with the San Juan Islands and Victoria, British Columbia, with water landings in harbors and coves. Kenmore also rebuilds Beavers, keeping the type flying worldwide.
