About Skytravel
The Czech carrier flying under the TVS code and QS designator began in 1997 as Travel Service, a Prague-based charter airline. Its scheduled operations flew under the Smartwings name from 2004, and in 2018 the whole company adopted the Smartwings brand, becoming the largest Czech airline.
Smartwings operates a Boeing 737 fleet, including 737 MAX 8s, from Prague and seasonal bases across Central Europe. Its business mixes scheduled leisure routes, holiday charters and extensive wet-lease flying for other European airlines, so its aircraft can appear almost anywhere on the continent in summer.
