KLM Cityhopper was formed in 1991 through the merger of NLM CityHopper and Netherlines, consolidating KLM's regional flying under one subsidiary. It has since operated as the short-haul feeder arm of the Dutch flag carrier, evolving through Fokker types to an all-Embraer fleet.
Based at Amsterdam Schiphol, Cityhopper flies Embraer E175s, E190s and E195-E2s in full KLM colors, feeding the parent's intercontinental waves. Its network covers regional airports across the UK, Scandinavia, Germany and Central Europe, including short sectors and smaller fields that KLM mainline jets do not serve. It ranks among Europe's largest regional airlines.
