Centrum Air was established on 18 January 2023 in Tashkent as the passenger carrier of Centrum Holding, the Uzbek group that also owns the cargo operator My Freighter. Both airlines share the IATA code C6, the ICAO code MFX and the callsign WHITEBIRD. The airline was set up under a state programme to widen the choice of scheduled air travel in Uzbekistan.
It flies an all Airbus fleet of A320-200s, A320neos, A321neos and A330-300s from its hub at Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport, with focus cities at Samarkand, Namangan and Urgench.
