Arajet: History and Facts

Arajet was founded in the Dominican Republic and launched scheduled flights in September 2022, positioning itself as the country's first large low-cost carrier. Backed by international investors including Bain Capital, it set out to turn Santo Domingo into a connecting point between North, Central and South America and the Caribbean.

The hub is Santo Domingo Las Américas, with a fleet of new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, each named after a Dominican landmark or cultural icon. Routes fan out to cities across Latin America, from Mexico City and Bogotá to Buenos Aires, plus North American points, giving sim pilots varied Caribbean and Andean approaches.
