About IrAero

IrAero was set up in Irkutsk in September 1999, at first for aviation work and regional flying in Eastern Siberia, and grew into one of the main carriers of that region. It has since taken on bases further east and north and now runs scheduled, charter and cargo services well beyond its original Siberian catchment.

Irkutsk is the hub, with operations from Chita, Yakutsk, Magadan and Moscow. The fleet pairs Sukhoi Superjet 100s with Antonov An-24 and An-26 turboprops that still work gravel and short strips in the Far East. The network covers around 47 domestic points and a dozen international ones, including Baku, Tashkent and northern China.
