About Ikar

Ikar was founded on 15 June 1993 and spent its early years flying Mil Mi-8 helicopters on cargo work, much of it carried on external slings. It moved into passenger charters and traded as Pegas Fly from 2015, then returned to the Ikar name in 2022 when the rights to the Pegas Fly brand could not be renewed.

Orenburg Tsentralny is the home base. The fleet is small and mixed, with Boeing 777-200ERs and 737-900ERs for the longer charters and a group of Embraer 190s for regional work. Around 30 routes are flown, almost all domestic, weighted towards Sochi, Kazan, Saint Petersburg and Kaliningrad.
