Yakutia Airlines was formed in 2002 from the merger of Sakha Avia and Yakutavia, both successors to the Aeroflot Yakutsk division. It is owned by the government of the Sakha Republic and became part of the unified Far Eastern airline group in 2020, which pooled several regional carriers under one commercial roof.
Yakutsk is the hub, with Moscow Vnukovo and Khabarovsk behind it. The fleet pairs Boeing 737-700s and 737-800s with Sukhoi Superjet 100s and three Dash 8-300 turboprops for the short northern sectors. Around 50 routes are flown across Sakha and the Russian Far East, with services into northern China.
