Enter Air Joins the Network, and Norwegian Gains Its MAX 8s

Enter Air has been added to the network at the request of a member. The airline was founded in Warsaw in 2009 and flew its first charter in April 2010. It grew into the largest charter operator in Poland, flying holiday programmes for tour operators including Itaka, TUI, Rainbow and Coral Travel, and has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since 2015. Wet leasing aircraft and crews to other airlines has been part of the business from the start.

It flies under ICAO code ENT and the callsign ENTER AIR, from Warsaw Chopin and from Katowice, Krakow, Poznan, Gdansk, Wroclaw and Bydgoszcz. Thirty one aircraft came with it, all Boeing 737: twenty three 737-800s and eight 737 MAX 8s, on Polish registrations from SP-ENG through SP-EXM.

Routes work differently for this one. Enter Air is a charter airline and sells its seats through tour operators, so it publishes no timetable and appears in no schedule database: there is nothing to import. Its network is instead being read off live flight tracking, one observed rotation at a time, and routes will appear on the airline page over the coming days as they are seen. Expect the Mediterranean and the Canaries first, since that is where most of the flying goes.

The same member also pointed out that Norwegian Air Shuttle had no 737 MAX 8 on the network, and they were right. Six of them, LN-FGE through LN-FGJ, now sit in the Norwegian fleet. Four had been filed under Norwegian Air Sweden, which was the only Norwegian carrier here when they arrived, and two were missing altogether because the schedule provider lists them without an aircraft type.
