About Nordwind Airlines

Nordwind Airlines started flying in August 2008 as the in-house carrier of the tour operator Pegas Touristik, with three Boeing 757-200s on holiday charters. Traffic grew from 20,000 passengers in the first year to about 5.5 million in 2019, and a scheduled programme was added alongside the charter work.

Moscow Sheremetyevo is the registered base, though Saint Petersburg and Kazan carry the most flying today. The fleet mixes Boeing 737-800s and 777s with Airbus A321 and A330 aircraft, close to 30 in total, and five Irkut MC-21-300s are on order. The network runs to Sochi, Kaliningrad, Central Asia and Pyongyang.
