Crew Roster

Each flight generates a realistic crew roster showing who is operating the aircraft.

Crew Composition

Crew Positions

CPT — Captain
The pilot-in-command. Responsible for the safe operation of the flight.
FO — First Officer
The second pilot. Shares flying duties with the Captain.
SO — Second Officer (Relief Pilot)
Only on flights of 8+ hours. Allows the operating pilots to take rest breaks during cruise.
SCC — Senior Cabin Crew (Purser)
Leads the cabin crew. Responsible for cabin safety, service coordination and passenger issues.
CC — Cabin Crew
Flight attendants responsible for passenger safety and in-flight service. Number is based on 1 per 50 seats of aircraft capacity.

Threat & Error Management (TEM)

The threat assessment panel highlights operational risks for the flight. Threats are categorised as:

  • LOW — Normal operations, no significant threats
  • MEDIUM — Some elevated risks requiring awareness
  • HIGH — Multiple significant threats requiring extra vigilance

Factors assessed include:

  • Night operations — Departures or arrivals in darkness
  • Long-haul fatigue — Flights over 8 hours
  • High elevation airports — Airports above 5000ft elevation
  • Short runway — Runways under 2000m
  • ETOPS — Extended twin-engine operations over water
  • Adverse weather — Low visibility, strong winds, or turbulence
  • Early morning — Departures between 04:00-06:00 UTC
