Load Sheet & Performance

Understanding passenger counts, cargo loads and aircraft weights.

Load Sheet & Performance

The Load Sheet

The load sheet shows how your aircraft is loaded for this specific flight. It is generated based on the booked flight data and determines your takeoff and landing performance.

Weight Breakdown

OEW (Operating Empty Weight)
The weight of the aircraft itself, including crew, catering, and standard equipment. This is fixed per aircraft type.
Payload
The revenue load: passengers + baggage + cargo + mail. This varies per flight.
ZFW (Zero Fuel Weight)
OEW + Payload. This must not exceed the Maximum ZFW (MZFW) for the aircraft type.
TOW (Takeoff Weight)
ZFW + Block Fuel. Must not exceed Maximum TOW (MTOW).
LW (Landing Weight)
TOW - Trip Fuel. Must not exceed Maximum LW (MLW).

Passenger Categories

Passengers are counted in categories with standard weights:

  • Adults (M/F) — Male and female passengers, standard weight ~84kg / ~76kg including hand luggage
  • Children (CHD) — Aged 2-11, standard weight ~35kg
  • Infants (INF) — Under 2, travelling on an adult's lap, ~10kg

Cargo & Baggage

Below the cabin load you'll see the hold load:

  • Checked baggage — Calculated from the number of passengers (average 1 bag x 20kg)
  • Cargo — Additional freight loaded in the hold
  • Mail — Postal mail (if any)
